In this two session workshop, students will experiment producing one off monotypes that bridge painting and printmaking. Students will create dynamic images or ‘paintings’ through their exploration of media. We will utilize the surface qualities of plexiglass plates and talk about archival oil based monotypes. The class will use drawing and painting techniques with oil paint sticks, brushes, handmade stencils and scrapers — even fingers. This is a great workshop of painters who are looking to get into printmaking or anyone who likes to work fluidly.

Classes include all materials (unless otherwise noted) along with free studio hours to use in the workshop. Class hours expire a month after the last day of the class. You must cancel your registration 2 weeks prior to the start of the class to receive a 90% refund or 100% class credit. No full refunds will be issued after payment due to online processing fees.
