Workshop Facilities

EFA RBPMW is a 6,000 square foot air-conditioned, fully vented lithography, intaglio, relief, screenprinting, risograph printmaking workspace located in mid-town Manhattan, just blocks from Penn Station and Port Authority.

With more than 150 stones, up to 32″ x 48″ capabilities for aluminum and photo plates, and two presses, we offer the only co-operative stone lithography facilities in Manhattan.

We have five intaglio presses and a vented acid room allowing for etching zinc with nitric acid and copper in vertical, ferric chloride tanks.

We sell basic supplies at the workshop (select paper, copper plates, photo-litho plates, etc.). Download a full list of supplies provided to members here.

Our digital lab is equipped with iMac, the Adobe Suite, and a toner printer.

Formica printing table (48” x 36”)
4 mobile printing boards with clamps (24” x 32”, 32” x 40”),
One-station/one-color t-shirt press with palette size 14” x 16”
Exposure unit 50" x 63"
Washout booth with power washer
Screen drying cabinets,
Screen storage available to rent
Screen coating stand
Drying rack (55” x 40”)
The maximum screen size our facilities can accommodate is 24” x 36”

Private Editioning Room

EDITIONING ROOM AVAILABLE FOR RENTAL

EFA RBPMW has a fully self-sufficient editioning rooms available for members to use at $200/day or $1,000/week. The editioning room is fully stocked with basic supplies (inks, solvents, etc.) For inquiries, please email justin@efanyc.org.

Contract Printing

Group Tours

You are welcome to schedule tours for your class or groups. Our staff will facilitate an interactive tour of our facilities, archive, and Blackburn Study Center. A printmaking demonstration for you and your group is available for an additional fee.
