In July and August, there are anniversaries of the atomic bombings of: the Trinity test in the United States, Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan. 2021 marks the 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks on New York City. Since 2020, the world has been experiencing a pandemic. While looking back at these disasters, remembering the victims, and praying for our healthy and peaceful future, we will work together to produce peace ornaments.

Many of us lost our mind-body balance during the pandemic. This workshop’s goal is to rebalance our mind and body, through natural materials, and hands-on experience.

Participants' origami works are collected and connected with thread, creating peace ornaments that heal and regenerate our divided world. This project will provide participants with the opportunity to restore connections with: others, the community, and our own inner self, by combining each idea into one unified artwork.

Non-Toxic | Open to the Public | All materials Included.
