This workshop will explore combining drypoint and monotype techniques by creating a plate that can be used as a reproducible matrix through alterations in inking, wiping and hand coloring. We will explore techniques such as brayer inking, rainbow rolls, selective wiping, and brush application of ink to produce visually dynamic works. The class will have a thorough walk through of materials, best practices, and individual work time. Students will leave with an understanding of the possibilities which drypoint monoprints holds.

Classes include all materials (unless otherwise noted) along with free studio hours to use in the workshop. Class hours expire a month after the last day of the class.
