In this class, students will learn how to hand rock copper plates, burnish their plates to create an image with a gradient of tones, and to print using an etching press. This acid-free technique was invented before photography and was often used to create photograph-like images.

Classes include all materials (unless otherwise noted) along with free studio hours to use in the workshop. Class hours expire a month after the last day of the class. You do not need to pick-up any materials in advance to prepare for this class; once registered, you may come to RBPMW on the day/time of your class. You must cancel your registration 2 weeks prior to the start of the class to receive a 90% refund or 100% class credit. No full refunds will be issued after payment due to online processing fees.
