In this class, students will learn about historical methods of animation, and how to use the tools of printmaking to investigate and expand upon these methods. Participants will learn how to compose storyboards, register and photograph their frames, and develop movable plates, scenography and characters. The class will culminate in a collaborative animation to be produced over the class period.

All materials are provided. Beginners are welcome, no prior printmaking experience necessary!
