This two-weekend course is for printers who are looking to expand their lithography skills from single-color to multicolor prints combining stones and plates. Students will be introduce to techniques such as: transfer drawing on stone; reduction printing on stone; Xerox copy to experimenting with toner on aluminum plates; and finally, incorporating color and chine colle.
Professional proofing and editioning will also be demonstrated.
Dakoji Devraj, an internationally acclaimed artist/print maker, who from Dharmoj, Telangana. He studied printmaking and painting in India, and was later trained at the Tamarind Institute, and has instructed Lithography and Screenprinting at City College of New York. He is a Master Printer and Lithography Instructor at EFA Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, New York.
