Do you struggle to adjust the size of your images for a grant application? Do you have projects you would like to develop digitally, but the technical maze of Photoshop scares you? Then this class is for you. The class size is limited to four students, allowing for lots of personal attention. The curriculum is based on students' projects, while covering the functioning structure of Photoshop.

Bring your work for scanning (objects, photographs, drawings, 35mm slides, transparencies). While working on individual projects, artists learn to control resolution, contrast, adjust color, use selections and layers for collage in any photocomposition in the Mac-equipped Digital Lab.

Ana Golici is an artist/lithographer formerly of the Podul printmaking workshop in Romania. Ms. Golici came to the USA in 1987 where she continued her study of lithography with Bob Blackburn at the Printmaking Workshop. The New York cultural atmosphere inspired Ms. Golici, heightening the pace of her creative process: she started to experiment with Xerox transfers on stone, on paper, on anything. Later, the computer proved to be the most efficient and effective tool for developing her ideas. Ana creates her work using Photoshop, printing large-format images on a variety of papers, and experimenting most of the time. Because of Ms. Golici’s traditional printmaking background, the digital prints she creates do not look like digital prints.
Ms. Golici has participated in many printmaking biennials and triennials in Europe, USA, and Asia. Her work has been exhibited in New York Hall of Science, Hunter College Times Square Gallery, East-West Gallery in NY, IPCNY, Wave Hill, NY, and Palatele Brincovenesti, Romania. She has works in the Library of Congress Collection and in private and state collections in Europe and USA.
