MEMBER FACILITIES

RBPMW is a 4,000 square foot air-conditioned, fully vented lithography, intaglio, relief, screenprinting, and digital printmaking workspace located in mid-town Manhattan, just blocks from Penn Station and Port Authority. With more than 150 stones, up to 32″ x 48″ capabilities for aluminum and photo plates, and two presses, we offer the only co-operative lithography facilities in New York City.

We have four intaglio presses, up to 40″ x 70″, and a vented acid room allowing for etching zinc with nitric acid and copper in vertical, ferric chloride tanks. Our digital lab is equipped with 4 iMacs, the Adobe Suite, and a Canon 1300 Ink Jet Printer.

Our screenprinting facilities include: one vacuum printing table with micro-registration (49” x 46”, 30” x 40” print area), formica printing table (48” x 36”), 4 mobile printing boards with clamps (24” x 32”, 32” x 40”), exposure unit, washout booth with power washer, Drying rack (55” x 40”), UV light safe dark room area, screen drying cabinets, screen storage, screen coating stand
The maximum screen size our facilities can accommodate is 24” x 36”.

We sell basic supplies at the workshop (select paper, copper plates, photo-litho plates, etc.) and have two private editioning rooms available for rent.

EDITIONING ROOMS

 

RBPMW has two fully self-sufficient editioning rooms available for members to use at $250 per day. The etching editioning room has a 36” x 60” Charles Brand Press, separate soaking sink and staple-down unit. The litho editioning room has a 40” x 72” Takach-Garfield electric press with a plate backer and rollers.
