Starting green, in this class we'll be using water solvent inks and platemaking materials. SILK
AQUATINT AND CARBORANDUM were specifically developed for painterly methods.
Participants can achieve the spontaneity of action painting, the sheer washes of a water color,

the vivacious surface of a palette knife impasto, ALL WITHOUT ACID. These collagraphic plate-
making methods are created with plastic substrates, acrylic paint and mediums. The resulting

plates are intaglio printed through an etching press with water-miscible ink. These plates can be
mixed and matched, and are perfect both for editions variable and monoprints.
