This course is for printers who are looking to expand their lithography skills from single-color stone to colorful prints with the combination of stone and plate. Students will be introduce techniques such as transfer drawing on stone, reduction printing on stone, xerox copy to experiment with toner on aluminum plates, and finally, incorporating, color an chine collé. Professional proofing and editioning will also be demonstrated.
Dakoji Devraj, an internationally acclaimed artist/print maker, who hails from Dharmoj, Telangana. He studied printmaking and painting in India in the 60s, and was later trained at the Tamarind Institute, and has instructed Lithography and Serigraphy, at City College of New York, and he is a Master Printer and Lithography Instructor at EFA Robert Blackburn`s Printmaking Workshop, New York.
